The short version: Imposter does not collect, store, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no trackers, and no analytics. Everything stays on your device.
None. The app collects no personal data. We operate no servers and never receive any information from your device.
So the game works and remembers your preferences, the app saves a few things locally on your device only:
This information never leaves your device, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and is removed if you delete the app.
The "Play with Nearby Phones" feature connects devices directly to one another over your local Wi-Fi or Bluetooth using Apple's MultipeerConnectivity. Player names and game information are exchanged only between the players' own devices during a game. None of it passes through any server, and we never receive or store any of it.
Imposter is suitable for children. Because the app collects no personal information and uses no third-party advertising or analytics, it is consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's guidelines for apps directed to children. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking software. The only Apple-provided feature used is the standard in-app rating prompt, which is handled entirely by Apple; we receive no data from it.
